Please join us this upcoming Sunday November 6th, 1:00pm at the front field of the Arlington High School for a public dedication ceremony for our 2016 Flags for Heroes, Arlington Rotary's first annual event celebrating patriotism and our local heroes past and present.

This year's event is dedicated to Kenneth J. Simmons for his service to his country and the Arlington Rotary Club and will feature various speakers including Arlington Rotarian Bill Cronin as well as some songs by John Flood.
Funds raised will go to several local projects including support of the Kenneth J Simmons Memorial Rotary Scholarship.

The flags fly for a variety of heroes: The men and women who are serving or have served as members of the Military Police, Officers, Firefighters, First Responders, Parents, Teachers, Coaches, Mentors, Community Leaders and fly for all the people who have made a difference in our lives.

Rows of American flags flying in the Fall breeze transforming the field into a hallowed space to recognize the deceased and thank the living. For some visitors, it is a place of contemplation. For others, it is a place to run with their children through a sea of red, white and blue. For everyone, it becomes a place of reflection for the people who have been the heroes in our lives.
